Alice is the Founder and Creative Director of the Alice Night School of Arts, where she sings, writes, paints, creates theatre and teaches creative courses, all as ways to explore the deep questions of our lives. Alice uses art as the vehicle for transformation, initiation, authenticity and aliveness for herself and guides others.
She has hosted week long retreats for masters students at NIDA in experiential writing with The Writing Well.
She has extensive experience as a creative arts facilitator, and is best known for creating and facilitating well loved online courses: The Writing Well, Writing Rites, SongCycle, Creation Rites, Voice Magic and her year long mentorship program the Master of Wild Arts (MoWA).
Alice Night School of Arts (ANSoA), is a place to recall and work with creative instincts. It is a hearth to enter and grow as an artist and as a human being. We live by the philosophy that the courses, art and books offered by ANSoA inspire deep living, deep feeling, connection and transformation through art-making.LEARN MORE
MASTER OF WILD ARTS
Creation as Initiation: A year-long mentorship with Alice
Are you an artist devoted to creating your very own significant body of work this year?
Join Alice for a year-long journey exploring creation as Initiation for a small group of dedicated students who are ready to take their artistic practice to the next level. You will be supported by Alice with fortnightly group sessions as you deep dive into your practice and arrive into the world as an intuitive and expressive artist.
We explore ritual, mystery, deep-listening, discipline and devotion, creation cycles, innovation, arts culture and ways to share our work in the world. You don’t need to have been a practicing artist, you just need to be ready to make the choice now.LEARN MORE
The Art of Devotion
So many people want to create art and aren’t
What is this about?
Is it that we’re resisting feeling things?
Is it the emotional intimacy of creativity?
Are we afraid of being seen?
Are we telling ourselves we’re not good enough?
Are we afraid of the hard work?
Are we passionate about too many things?
Are we not passionate about anything?
ANSoA courses dissolve what's been getting between you and your creative life.
